What makes Villa Popoza a great holiday rental

This architect designed, contemporary villa is stunning both inside and out.  On the Seignosse golf course and built on the side of the hill, the villa has incredible views over the forest, distant mountains and the ocean beyond the forest.  Each of the double bedrooms has its own ensuite shower room and despite the property being built over 4 floors, the steps need not put you off as there is a lift within the house itself!

The interiors are stunning and the infinity pool and terrace for outdoor dining all take full advantage of the views.

There is even a home spa in the house with a sunken bath, hamam and sauna all on the ground floor.

For a special occasion or just to make your holiday even more relaxing, why not book one of our bespoke catering packages as part of your stay at this villa.

Best for

Families looking for that extra bit of luxury and boutique hotel feel.  Perfect for golfers and surfers alike or those just looking to relax on the balcony and enjoy the views.  Ideal too, for a group of friends who all want their own ensuite and privacy.

Suitability for:

  • Toddlers - there is no garden at the house and the pool is an infinity pool on the second floor
  • Teenagers - will love the opulence but will need bikes to get to the beach and local bar/restaurant on their own
  • Reduced mobility - the house is up a very steep, windy drive way but once in the house, there is lift that accesses all floors.

Anything to watch out for?

  • The pool is a small infinity pool on the second floor with no protection on the infinity side.
  • The house is accessed via a very steep, windy drive way

Why Hossegor/Seignosee le Penon?

An established surfing resort with a very 'cool' vibe. The resort offers great beaches, good shopping, a lovely lagoon and plenty of activities (surf, golf, tennis, cycling, sailing & more). There's also a wealth of restaurants (neighbouring Capbreton is best for seafood) and oysters are farmed in the lagoon - you can do tastings.

Accommodation

Stunning, contemporary villa on Seignosse golf course, with incredible views over the forest, mountains and ocean.

Ground floor:

The house is accessed via the ground floor, through the garage and opens into a corridor off which there is a laundry room with washer and dryer, followed by a 'home spa' with stunning sunken bath, sauna and hamam.

Further down the corridor is a double bedroom (bed 160cm) with ensuite shower room with WC and basin, with polished cements floors.  There is a staircase leading to the next floor that runs the length of the corridor, and an interior lift that provides access to all floors from this ground level.

First floor:

A further 3 double bedrooms, all identical in size, views over the golf course, built-in wardrobes and ensuite shower rooms with wash basins and polished cement floors. The 3 bedrooms share a separate WC.

Second floor:

The main living area with sitting room, fireplace, high definition TV (with Apple TV and Blu-ray player), kitchen and large cement top table with seating for 10 occupies the whole of the second floor.  The kitchen is fully equipped with very large fridge freezer, impressive coffee machine!, dishwasher etc.  The kitchen overlooks the infinity pool with stunning views over the forest.

The living room opens out onto a huge terrace with built in BBQ and plancha, large outdoor dining table with parasol and an outdoor salon.  The floor throughout on this level is polished cement and there are 2 glass windows in the floor with views into the owners own private wine cellar (unfortunately not open to guests!!).  There is also an indoor/outdoor Bose sound system.

Third floor:

The final floor above the kitchen, is the master bedroom with open ensuite made up of a large shower, double sinks and dressing area and separate WC.  This bedroom boasts its own private balcony again with stunning views.

The Local Area

The Local Area: Hossegor (3 km)

Seignosse Ocean
The resort incorporating the fabulous beaches les Estagnots, Bourdaines and le Penon. It's a mostly residential area with a number of holiday homes and apartments. Popular with surfers and families, the beaches are superb. There are seasonal shops, a bit of nightlife and a Water Park.

Golf de Seignosse
A water and forest monster of a course ranked in Continental Europe’s Top 50! Very welcoming clubhouse with a restaurant and bar with fabulous views of the course from the terrace.

Hossegor & Capbreton
The local region of Sud Landes is typical Aquitaine - endless stretches of sandy eaches buffeted by the Atlantic ocean, vast pine forests punctuated by the occasional lake and criss-crossed by a network of cycle trails.

Capbreton and Hossegor are neighbouring seaside towns which between them offer an appealing contrast. Hossegor is the more famous, largely through its surfing pedigree. It's a 'feelgood' place offering boutique shopping, great bars and restaurants, world-amous surfing beaches, casino, a lovely golf course and a beautiful lagoon for safe bathing and sailing.

Capbreton lives in the shadow of Hossegor but it's the place the locals prefer for eating out and quieter beaches. It's definitely the more authentic of the two, largely because of its fishing port and daily fish market. In fact, the town thrived in the 19th century as a whaling port and this sea-faring heritage is still very much apparent today. It also boasts a modern marina, a charming town centre and market and remains, admirably, something of a French (and Spanish) secret.
