Anything to watch out for?
Why the Dordogne/Charente border region?
The borders of the Dordogne, Limousin and Charente offer the opportunity to explore the beautiful villages of the northern Dordogne such as Piégut and the diverse landscapes of these very different areas. Francophiles will love the river towns, historic sights, unspoiled countryside and superb markets, cuisine and wine (and cognac). This is a place to enjoy the slower pace of French life and unwind for a week or two. Cognac-tasting is of course a 'must' in these parts and there are plenty of distilleries open to the public. Options for days out are plentiful and varied with visits to Cognac and Angouleme recommended.
