BEST FOR:

The apartment size and location makes it perfect for a family. Also, it works well for two couples as long as you don't mind sharing a bathroom.

SUITABILITY FOR:

  • Toddlers - tight for space for a cot and there are stairs to negotiate. Lovely toddler-friendly beach in walking distance though
  • Teenagers - the perfect location in the most teen-friendly resort in France! Studio upstairs can be rented for independent space for older teenagers
  • Reduced mobility - sorry, not suitable as there is no lift

ANYTHING TO WATCH OUT FOR:

There will be some traffic noise from the road running parallel to the marina. It's not instrusive and we feel it's a small compromise for the location where you can walk to everything.

There is no lift and the apartment is on the third floor.

WHY HOSSEGOR:

Because it's a fabulous south of France resort with amazing surf beaches, a stunning tidal lagoon, fresh & fragrant pine forests, beautiful cycle trails and more. It's a slice of California in Europe. Hossegor is about good-living...eating well and enjoying the great outdoors. It's our most popular destination but we love the fact it's still relatively unknown - spread the word but not too much!

Accommodation

Smart, newly-renovated 63m2 apartment on the second floor with fresh interior. private balcony and marina views

The apartment is owned by a local family who we have previously worked with on two other properties in Hossegor.

It has been completely gutted and fitted with a brand new kitchen, bathroom and furniture. It's now a very smart and well-priced holiday apartment for a family or two couples.

Accommodation

Enter the apartment at ground level and take three short flights of stairs (no lift) to the third floor.

The apartment comprises:

  • Open-plan living room with lounge and brand new kitchen. You have direct access from the lounge to the generous private balcony where you can enjoy drinks, meals and generally relaxing - you have a wonderful view directly over the marina to Capbreton.
  • Bedroom 1 with marina views. The twin beds (90cm) can be joined to create a double.
  • Bedroom 2 with small balcony and side view of the marina. Double bed 160cm
  • The two bedrooms are separate by a bathroom (small bath-tub, shower over the bath) and independent WC
  • On the third floor the owner has also renovated - in exactly the same style - an 18m2 studio apartment which can be added to the rental if you want top-up sleeping space for a 5th or even 6th person. The studio features a double bed (140cm sofa-bed), corner kitchen, shower room and velux window (no view). This space could work really well for an older teenager or an extra guest or two staying for a short time. (NB Studio booked 10 Aug to 31 Oct 2019)

All equipment and furnishings are brand new.

The Residence

The building comprises 36 apartments (10 per floor plus 6 x studios on the top floor) some of which are holiday units.

The building can be accessed on foot from the marina side or from the residential road on the other side.

There is a parking area and a garage can be made available - very handy for storing surf boards. There is a bike store at the residence also.

Location

Situated just off the town centre on the Hossegor side of the marina separating the town from Capbreton. The location is very convenient as you can walk everywhere - shops, restaurants, the ocean and lagoon. Or, hire bikes and discover more of the coast - there are plenty of cycle hire outlets and an extensive network of cycle paths. The marina is directly in front of the apartment building with a choice of restaurants on both sides of the quay. There is a road parallel to the marina which connects the town and beach so a little road noise is to be expected - a small price to pay for this fabulous location.
