Summary
LOCATION: Maison des Vignes is located on a small, working wine-estate with two other holiday cottages. The estate is about 800m from the village of St Caprais which has a few local amenities (grocery store, tabac, boulangerie), plus an impressive church. There are many activities nearby (cycling, horse-riding, tennis) and many market towns and other places of interest to visit. The coast at Cap Ferret is about 75 minutes' drive.

ACCOMMODATION: The house is adjoins part of the main building, but with an independent entrance on another side. The cottage entrance faces a lovely large lawned area which ends at the vines. The ground floor consists of : a large entrance, a lounge room (with a TV), a dining room, a kitchen equipped with a dish washer, washing machine, oven, stove, coffee machine, electric kettle and microwave, a toilet, shower room and a pantry.

On the first floor the double room has an en suite shower room with a washbasin. The other double and twin rooms share a bathroom with a washbasin. Separate wc.

OUTSIDE
Private garden, with a view on the garden and vines. Garden table, chairs and barbecue for the summer are used under the Magnolia tree which is just in front of the house.

The grounds also include a large swimming pool (shared with people staying in 2 other cottages in the grounds), many garden toys & games plus about a dozen bikes of all sizes (adults & childrens).

This property has been inspected externally by one of Alternative Aquitaine's UK staff, but not yet inside (because guests have been there each time we came!). We have however visited the other properties on the site - Cottage des Vignes and Grange des Vignes - and are confident the property is of the same good standard. We will be adding a full description of this property in the autumn (08), more details are available in the meantime on request.
