Villa d'Arès is located in a residential quarter of Arès, a small town on the northern shore of the Bassin d'Arcachon. There is a local beach 300m away, but the best beaches are a short drive - le Grand Crohot and le Truc Vert on the Atlantic side of the Cap Ferret peninsula, both about 10 kms away.

The centre of Arès is 500m away, and offers a good selection of local shops, plus a few restaurants.

Bordeaux airport is approx. 60 kms away, Bordeaux railway station about 70 kms.

Villa d'Arès is a modern, two storey villa in a plot of 1500m2. The house itself is spacious - 250m2. It was completely renovated in 2009 to create a contemporary interior. The main living areas are upstairs.

Upstairs (150m2): External steps lead upstairs to the villa main entrance. A long corridor leads from to back off which are located 4 bedrooms (3 doubles + 1 twin), shared bathroom (with large bath), plus a modern, well-equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven & hob). At the far end is a light, spacious living room (50m2) with a sitting area with two large sofas around a open fireplace on one side, a large dining table (seats 10-12) on the other. French doors open from the living room onto a large terrace which runs around the sides & back of the house, and overlooks the pool and garden.

Downstairs (100m2) are 3 further bedrooms (2 doubles, plus one with bunk beds & sofabed), shower room with large walk-in shower, kitchenette (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven & hob, coffee-maker, toaster) with small table seating 4.

NB The upstairs and downstairs parts of the house are connected only by an external staircase, not an internal one.

Outside: At the rear of the house is a decked terrace with pool (7m x 4m), surrounded by gardens and not overlooked. There is a 2 garden tables & with 8 chairs each (seating up to 16), 8 sunloungers, and gas barbecue.

There is also a double garage downstairs.

Overall, this is an ideal rental for a large group to experience a unique corner of Aquitaine.
