What are Holiday Villages?
Holiday
villages provide a wide range of well-run sports
and activities for both children
and adults. Our villages are particularly appealing
to golf, tennis, watersports and horse-riding
enthusiasts.
There are children's clubs for
all ages which offer structured activities throughout the day. The
kids have an active outdoors holiday and make friends with children
from a range of other countries - there's quite an international
flavour to these villages.
The accommodation at holiday villages comprises both apartments
and houses.
Who
are they for?
Holiday
villages are extremely popular for families with
children of all ages. Each children’s club is split according
to age groups. Babysitting services are available
and there is also a crèche facility at Moliets-Plage.
Outside of the high season, the villages are popular with pre-school
families and anyone drawn to the sports facilities, such
as groups of golfers.
What
is the accommodation like?
Accommodation
is compact and functional rather than luxurious. All houses and
apartments provide open-plan living space comprising
lounge, dining area, kitchen or kitchenette. There will be at least
one bathroom and a private balcony or patio.
It is fair to say that a lot of French apartments are sold on the
web using a rather ambitious sleeping capacity - "sleeps 6"
does not mean 3 bedrooms but will probably mean 1 bedroom, 2 sofa-beds
and a set of bunk beds! Our descriptions clearly state the size
of the apartment in terms of its overall floorspace
(in square metres), the number of bedrooms, the
sleeping capacity and its composition.
