Why Biarritz?
Biarritz is the most famous resort in Aquitaine and offers brilliant surfing, shopping, golf and lots more attractions too. St Charles is a charming district of Biarritz with a 'village-y' feel and has a good selection of shops & a few places to eat. Nearby are pretty Basque country villages, dramatic Pyrenean peaks, Spain's glamorous rival to Biarritz, San Sebastien.

Good holiday apartment in the heart of Biarritz
Appartment Ossuna is part of a mansion house which is typical of eclectic Biarritz, and reflects one its many architectural styles. Built in the early 20th century, the house has for a long time been divided into a small number (three) of self-contained flats.
Appartement Ossuna is tastefully furnished, and offers comfortable holiday accommodation.
The apartment is a family-owned property - furnished and equipped to be lived in as a family home.
Inside:
The accommodation is split over two floors. The reception hallway sets the tone for the whole apartment - brightly decorated and furnished.
Leading from the reception is the main room downstairs - the large, open-plan living room with integrated kitchen. The living room is cosy and has a number of attractive features (including corner fireplace), pieces of furniture and interesting ornaments. There is a comfortable sofa, glass coffee table and flat-screen TV.
The kitchen includes a dining table to seat 4 people comfortably, 6 at a push. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all modern conveniences including washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge freezer.
One of the three double bedrooms is downstairs. The remaining two bedrooms (both double beds) are on the first floor, accessed by a fine wooden staircase. All feature cosy, homely furnishings and good storage. The upstairs accommodation is converted from the attic of the house, so the ceilings are sloped which cuts off a little headroom.
The bathroom (and separate wc) is upstairs. The bath includes shower attachment. This room has quite a low ceiling and tall guests may find the shower lacks headroom.
Surfboards can be left downstairs in the main reception area, but bicycles are not allowed to be brought into the building. There is free (but limited) parking on the street, should you have a car with you.
The apartment is centrally heated.
Appartement Ossuna is available - and a popular choice - throughout the year. There's plenty going on in Biarritz at any time of the year and the town hosts regular international cultural and sporting events, notably surfing. It's an ideal venue whatever time of year you come to this wonderful seaside town.

Biarritz
After the wilderness years of the 1980s, this town is back in fashion. Celebrities and sports stars are flooding back to live in the region (including tennis star Guy Forget who lives next door to Villa Chiberta!), turning their back on the Côte d'Azur. Biarritz is an eclectic place; it somehow manages to mix an affluent elderly population with a steady flow of well-dressed surfers plus a sprinkling of super-rich jetsetters on top. A compact and stylish town, Biarritz really does have something for everyone...famous beaches, museums, fine restaurants, boutiques, casino, golf courses, horse-riding and the south west's famous spa and thalassotherapy centres.
