What makes Maison des Corsaires a great holiday rental

Maison des Corsaires offers contemporary accommodation with all mod cons (including wifi) in the most amazing location by Chambre d'Amour beach. The area's surf, shops & restaurants are all a short stroll away, the centre of Biarritz just 3 kms.

Best for:
Groups of friends or families who want to surf as much as possible, but want smart accommodation too

Suitability for:

• Toddlers - cot & high chair available if required. Will need supervision on / around stair case. Garden fully enclosed.
• Teenagers - excellent location for teenagers, safe area to roam and lots to do.
• Reduced mobility - 2 bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, grounds are level and flat.

Anything to watch out for?
Only two bathrooms shared between five bedrooms - could be a queue for the shower when the property is fully-occupied.

Why Anglet & Biarritz?
Chambre d'Amour is one of Biarritz's more accessible beaches, with a lovely promenade, lots of snack bars & restaurants plus, of course, surf shops. There are three golf courses nearbly, plus tennis courts, cycle trails & horse-riding. Not to mention the stylish boutiques and cafés of Biarritz just 3 kms away...

Accommodation

A well-equipped, nicely-furnished beach-side property.

Maison des Corsaires is a detached house in its own grounds next to an excellent Basque beach, the Chambre d'Amour - the favourite of many locals.

Inside:

The villa itself is newly renovated and tastefully decorated & furnished in contemporary style throughout. The living areas & kitchen are very good quality, the bedrooms simpler.

> Downstairs: There is a large living room with open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar (seats 3), dining table & chairs seating 6, plus sitting area with 2 sofas and contemporary fireplace. Off the main sitting room are 2 double bedrooms (each with an extra single bed), a triple room (three single beds), plus a shared bathroom with shower and bath. All the bedrooms have full length windows with views of the surrounding beach and parks.

> Upstairs: Galleried landing overlooking the living area, and two further bedrooms: master bedroom with a balcony overlooking the sea and beach, a further twin bedroom, plus a bathroom.

Outside:

The good-sized garden has lovely beach views as far as Spanish coast and includes a patio with BBQ, garden table & chairs (seats 6), parasol and an outside shower. Some children's toys, bikes, along with surf boards etc are left available to guests.

The Local Area: Anglet

Chambre d'Amour (Anglet)
Chambre d'Amour is the romantic name given to a cave under the rocky headland topped by Biarritz lighthouse and which separates Anglet from Biarritz. The names now describes this area of sandy beach (with good waves), boutiques & restaurants, all a short walk from Maison des Corsairs. A promenade leads most of the way along the sea-front as far as La Barre, about 3 kms north. It's an easy bike (or bus) ride into central Biarritz, 2 kms to the south, while the leafy Chiberta district is 1.5 kms to the north.

Chiberta
Chiberta offers the Pignada Forest for jogging, cycling, horse-riding and a kids' adventure park; there is golf and tennis at Chiberta Golf Club; Atlanthal Thalassotherapy (spa) centre is here as well.

Biarritz
After the wilderness years of the 1980s, this town is back in fashion. Celebrities and sports stars are flooding back to live in the region, turning their back on the Côte d'Azur. Biarritz is an eclectic place; it somehow manages to mix an affluent elderly population with a steady flow of well-dressed surfers plus a sprinkling of super-rich jetsetters on top. A compact and stylish town, Biarritz really does have something for everyone...famous beaches, museums, fine restaurants, boutiques, casino, golf courses, horse-riding and the south west's famous spa and thalassotherapy centres.
