Why our prices are in euros

What it means

  • All our prices for rentals in 2009 are now quoted in EUR (Euros).
  • You can see the equivalent price in GBP (£ sterling) at today's rate using the links provided on relevant pricing pages.
  • The GBP price can (and probably will) change over time as the exchange rate fluctuates, but the EUR price will always remain the same. (EUR prices are ‘contractual’.)
  • We still accept payments in GBP. See ‘Paying in GBP’ below.

Benefits for you

  • For the 2008 holiday season the fall in the GBP exchange rate vs. EUR meant we had to apply a surcharge to clients' balance payments. We want to avoid that happening again. The only way to do that is to make the holiday contract with you in the same currency that we pay suppliers, ie EUR.
  • The rate we use for converting prices is much better than any available on the high street. (It is approximately 2 eurocents lower than the interbank rate quoted on the BBC Business News website.)

Benefit for us

  • Our livelihood isn’t determined by fluctuations in the currency market, a factor beyond our control!
